Hey Reader, we have some exciting updates to share about Huddled with you today!


✨ New Features


A New Layout: Making Huddled “Comms-first”

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback and hearing your frustrations navigating and using the platform easily.

After many user testing sessions with our amazing users, we’re incredibly proud to release our new home page.

This is a first step for us in a long journey towards making Huddled the default communications platform for higher education, so if you have any feedback and thoughts you’d like to share with us (good or bad) please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Surfacing Engagement: Like Counters on Posts
A long overdue and highly requested feature, like counters on posts, is finally here! Now you will be able to get a clearer understanding of the reach and engagement on your posts.


🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where posting to the subgroup would make the post also appear in the community feed.
  • Fixed an issue where subgroups wouldn’t load properly for some users resulting in a blank screen when navigating from the home page.
  • Fixed a bug which showed the timestamp for messages sent in the previous day resulting in user confusion. These chats will now display “1 day ago” instead of a timestamp.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the in-app notification to break if a GIF was shared with the user.
  • Fixed smaller issues alignment and layout issues.

🔧 Reliability upgrades

  • Fixed an issue which caused the platform to crash if the browser tab was left inactive for an extended period of time.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the platform to slow down drastically if the browser tab was left inactive for an extended period of time.
  • Fixed minor issues causing the platform to slow down when switching between pages.
  • Upgraded underlying infrastructure to help images load faster (especially on slower connections)
